Pre-light: The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper is beautiful dark brown. The construction is excellent, the cigar is firm with just the right amount of give when squeezed. The cap is triple capped as are most EPC cigars.

First Third: The sweetness from the Connecticut Broadleaf shines right away. As the cigar cools down there are hints of dark chocolate with a lingering spice in the background.

Second Third: As the cigar progresses it goes from medium bodied to medium-full. More spice comes through as the dark chocolate turns more into a bitter cocoa. There is still a nice sweetness from the wrapper balancing out the flavor.

Final Third: A sweet espresso flavor begins to take over as the spice falls in to the background.
