Michael Herklots is a 1998 graduate of Killingly High School, and a 2002 graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He relocated to New York City immediately following college graduation, and is currently Vice President of Retail and Brand Development for Nat Sherman International. Prior to joining Nat Sherman, Herklots worked for Swiss Luxury company Davidoff of Geneva running retail operations in New York.
As Vice President of Retail and Brand Development, he is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s portfolio of Premium Cigars, working directly with manufacturers in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. Michael also oversees all retail operations for the company including their flagship Townhouse store on 42nd Street in New York City, and is charged with developing and growing their global sales and distribution network.
Herklots collaborates closely with the culinary industry, working Most recently, Michael has been working extensively within the culinary world, working extensively with celebrity chefs like Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian Chef Emeril Lagasse, Chef Scott Conant and Chef Charlie Palmer all of whom have supported fundraising efforts for the Learning for Life Fund. Herklots is a Certified Master Tobacconist by Tobacconist University, member of the board and contributing teacher for the American Sommelier Association, a resource for the Young Presidents Organization and a contributing writer for many publications. Most importantly, he’s husband to Tiffany and father to Rose and Audrey, and is incredibly proud to be a product of the town of Killingly.
